Grain of white

Grain of white,

So pure, so bright

Couldn’t stop myself,

Dazzled by the light

Serene , calm and so quiet,

Woke up after ages 

to see such a sight!

Birds praying,

Squirrels in dismay

Oh! How long has it gone

To bless this way!


I tasted the blessing

What a thrill!

Not once , 

but tasted twice

I wish to be there

Oh! What a price’

Memories cascaded

As a stream of thought,

 Days of childhood 

I just - bought!

Benign Strangers

It’s quite strange to quote strange experiences in this strange place! To elucidate further,  Last Saturday we were hopping in some markets in London trying to shop for our daughter. After raiding few shops we ended  up in this store, exhausted and tired.  I preferred to sit on a tuffet and pleaded my husband to look for the things he had to buy. As soon as I sat, an elderly woman came with her clan and sat beside me. She looked equally tired like me. We briefly exchanged glances,  I unwaveringly smiled and she responded . She said she was there for her grand daughter who was going to turn twelve next month on 10th and since it's their school summer break, she would be taking her to her homeland, Paris. Siya's first Friend

Siya’s first friend at school Intimate, close and warm bond that siya shares with Keeley, her beautiful English friend is unmatchable. A year prior to her starting her school, I used to wonder how she will adjust and settle. Two months down and she already had uncountable stuff to talk about. Though, I still was ambiguous about her friendship. Needless to say, her teachers often commented in the mornings and home time that siya is quite friendly with all. I had soon witnessed some occasional hugs and warm reciprocation of love between the two. Soon, Siya had a wonderful group of friends. Some names had become quite homely. Keeley, her favorite, Joshua, Taylor, Jaisha, Rachel and Dejorn. Being a mom, I was the most relieved person. I could relish her stories more happily and we both enjoyed talking long hours about her school escapades. But, it had to last! Nursery was about to end!
