The Hum-drum of Valentine's day!

Love has its innumerable connotations today! In the form of romance or in the form of commitment, In the form of mere obligation or in the form of unrequited love, in the form of a flashy proclamation...in contrast to a quiet gesture of heart felt true feelings...The magic of 'red' is spread everywhere. Commercialized feelings are packed in different colorful gift packages and commitments are claimed profoundly with numerous romantic, love filled sentences on red' cards...for an everlasting, peaceful, love filled life...though it hardly ever lasts... for a year! As the same is expected, commemorated, celebrated and committed for another set of everlasting love life!! No offence, I do appreciate this gesture of remembering St. Valentine for his sacrifice and his respect for 'love'. But, in the present times, the whole idea of realizing the true essence of 'love' is obscured in this canopy of commercialization. Husbands and male lovers specially have a tough

On the Run!

Sounds quite racy and marathony!( read marathon) After consistently watching some heroic stories of great women on TV series, I am more than inspired to write this and somehow acknowledge the true worth of a woman. How undoubtedly tedious, hard and tough it is to be an inspiration for all! If that is a woman, believe me it's almost double! Woman, irrespective of her class, creed, social position or culture, shares the same shades of toil and hard work.If one is successful, then shades of super hard work and super expectations. From a simple laborer to a glamorous super mom, all have to be their best to inspire. This is truly reflected when a woman is best complimented or commented not by her partner or husband, but by her child! Don't ask! the famous channel here had aired a programme where some school mums were revolutionized and made over in a day after they dropped their kids at school. When the kids saw their mums later in the day, they were thrilled to see glamor mums in

Siya's first Friend

Siya’s first friend at school Intimate, close and warm bond that siya shares with Keeley, her beautiful English friend is unmatchable. A year prior to her starting her school, I used to wonder how she will adjust and settle. Two months down and she already had uncountable stuff to talk about. Though, I still was ambiguous about her friendship. Needless to say, her teachers often commented in the mornings and home time that siya is quite friendly with all. I had soon witnessed some occasional hugs and warm reciprocation of love between the two. Soon, Siya had a wonderful group of friends. Some names had become quite homely. Keeley, her favorite, Joshua, Taylor, Jaisha, Rachel and Dejorn. Being a mom, I was the most relieved person. I could relish her stories more happily and we both enjoyed talking long hours about her school escapades. But, it had to last! Nursery was about to end! Siya had to step on another platform, a more big class, a much bigger school and many more children.

Benign Strangers

It's quite strange to quote some strange experiences in this strange place!!! Last saturday, I met this old lady from Italy while shopping at the high street, mostly known as Oxford street. To elucidate further, I was supposed to shop some b'day presents for my hubby n daughter! But, knowing my disinterest in shopping (quite contrary to the common fact that females love shopping!! and I do not!!) So, hubby followed this tradition and I found a nice tuffet to sit. Not even a minute later this old Italian lady came with her family of four and sat beside me. I think she was much tired like me, as we started talking she said her grand daughter is going to turn twelve next month on 10th and since it's their school summer break, she will b taking her to her homeland, Paris. All her relatives from her husband's side were there in France and they were planning for a nice family reunion along with her grand daughter's birthday treat! It was a co- incidence, I told her that

My wandering ThoughtS

Thoughts with capital 'S' because I myself fail to understand why I can't rein my horse ( read my mind)!! Trudging up and down, fast and v fast, I often see myself pushing my mind to go beyond reach....and then suddenly !!! Thump!! Thud!! It stumbles and falls down!! Concerned for someone's pain, procrastinating for long unfulfilled tasks, alluring for something I don't deserve, believing in myself and the next second disbelieving and questioning !, sometimes driven by strong love for theology, and then questioning the work of providence! The list is endless and if I have to reach up with my mind's thinking speed, I guess even one light year would be less in calculating the speed of my wandering thoughts!! Why it never tires and takes some rest.... why it keeps pondering on things that don't really concern me? Well!! well!! there are many things I still can say and write about this boggling mind. The sheer fact that I have been badly hit by this 'mm...
